Who is
Lyzzie?

Hello, everyone! I'm Lyzzie, a biology enthusiast with a curious mind and a passion for everything from the workings of cells to the web of ecosystems that surround us. To me, biology isn't just something you study, it's the united language of living and breathing. Every molecule and every interaction with nature is a part of an ongoing story around us (and within us).
I come from a family of scientists, so you could say discovery runs in my blood. In school, I wear a few hats: I'm the founder and president of an American Cancer Society chapter and an officer for our genetic writing club. In times when technology and politics often overshadow science, I believe it's more important than ever to give a voice to the research that is occurring in labs around the world.
When I'm not in the lab running cell cultures or diving into abstracts, you'll find me here, writing about all the cool, weird, and utterly mind-blowing things I encounter. My goal is simple: to share this love for science with others and inspire people to dive into the adventure of biology.
This blog is a space where I get to blend my writing with my scientific passion. As both a writer and a (unofficial) biologist, I hope to encourage you to join me on this journey of exploration.
Have fun reading!
